Meet Our Teachers

Ms. Katie is a Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has served CEP as a parent, board member, Chapel Time leader, teacher, and now director, and she leads weekly science classes for all ages.

Ms. Kristy brings special education experience, a love of music, and many years of CEP teaching experience to the Shining Stars 4-year-old class.

Ms. Talia supports the Shining Stars class, Before Care, and Monday Camp Day. She is known for enthusiasm, recycling, and creative loose-parts building.

Ms. Karen creates a loving and engaging classroom for little learners and brings early learning training and joyful classroom energy to the Explorers class.

Ms. Wendi has supported CEP's 3-year-old classrooms over the years as both an assistant and a lead teacher. Both of her children are CEP graduates.

Ms. Heather leads the Rainbows and Sunshines classes and brings early childhood experience, joy, and excitement for learning to her classrooms.

Ms. Kristy has experience in area preschools and supports the Sunshines class as assistant teacher.

Ms. Melanie helps CEP's youngest learners adjust to school and continue their learning journey in the Rainbows class.

Ms. Amanda leads the Bees class and supports young learners as they develop independence and a love of learning.

Ms. Kathy is a Virginia Tech graduate and former CEP room parent, board member, Fun Fair co-chair, and substitute teacher who shares her love of art and learning with the Bees class.

Ms. Katy brings many years of early childhood experience and works with Monday Camp Day and After Care students.

Ms. Jillian is an experienced music educator who teaches fundamental music concepts through developmentally appropriate play.
